EDWARDS, Kenneth Harold Passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in his 85th year. Ken Edwards of Pembroke, loving husband of Doris Edwards (nee Daley) and by first marriage the late Mildred Edwards (nee Webb). Loving father of Karen Schreader (Bob), Kimberley Godin (Maurice) & Bonnie Leblanc (Phillip); and step-father of Sherwood, John & Ralph (Cynthia) Webb. Predeceased by infant son David. Cherished grandfather of Amanda, Heather & the late Matthew (Meaghan) Schreader; Allison & Emily Godin; Jodie (Jason Plumley) & Neil Leblanc; Jennifer & Jeffrey (Kathy) Webb and Stuart (Angel) & Joshua (Sara) Webb; as well as 14 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Harvey & Etta Edwards (nee Charles). Brother of Grace Thrasher (Mendel), Mona Kosmack (late Garnet) & Lois Rayson (Harold). Predeceased by Gerald & Grant (late Erma) Edwards. Brother-in-law of Evelyn Webb, Margaret Good, Verna Glendenning, Donald (Elizabeth) Daley & Stewart Daley. Ken worked for many years as a truck driver for Shell Canada, then enjoyed his retirement years by driving taxi and spending time with family. Visitation at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in Calvin United Church, Pembroke on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Calvin United Cemetery, Pembroke. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72 are requested to assemble at the Funeral Home for a Service on Friday at 7:30 p.m. (In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.)
