Kathleen Huckabone

Kathleen Huckabone, B.A, M.A., August 25,1934 - March 21, 2015 Kathleen died at home in Petawawa. Daughter of the Honourable Thomas D'Arcy and Lilian Leonard, she is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, F. Allan Huckabone Q.C. a well known lawyer in the region. Kathleen leaves two children, Mark (Tracy) & Stephanie (Max) and five grandchildren, Felix, Jake, Benjamin, Claire & Patrick. After completing OCE and courses at the Sorbonne University, Kathleen taught high school in Pembroke. She had a prodigious intellect and a beautiful musical appreciation. In all Kathleen's endeavours she brought perspicacity, concentration and energy, be they Book Club, Friends of Music, community involvement, whether at home or in Salvage Newfoundland. One of five children, Katie was predeceased by her brother Jack and leaves three sisters, Agatha Tawastsjerna, Sister Anne Leonard RSCJ and Stephanie Bonar. Respecting Kathleen's wishes there will be no visitation, Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 22 Willard St., Petawawa on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. (In lieu of flowers donations to Miramichi Lodge or Algonquin College Pembroke would be appreciated.)
