SCHLEEN, Joyce - It is with great sadness that her family announces the passing of Joyce Ann Schleen, peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in her 90th year.

Joyce Schleen (nee Huebner) of Pembroke, beloved wife of Lloyd Schleen and by first marriage, the late Tom M. Leclaire. Much loved mother of Anne Leclaire and Laurie Serran (William) of Pembroke. Cherished and proud Nana of Megan Chase (Blake Novello), Hoboken, New Jersey; Tommy Serran (Natasha), Pembroke; and Sean “Skinny” Serran (Kathryn Ritchie), Arnprior. Dearest great-grandmother of Slate, Brock and Teagan Serran. Step-grandmother to Chris Blackstock (Holly Dunn) and their children Isla, Edward and Baron, Chichester. A wonderful sister to Beverly Cochrane-Quigley and sister-in-law to Bill MacKinnon, Dallas Boudens, and Carle Leclaire (Shirley), all of Pembroke; and Bernard Leclaire (Rachel), Renfrew. Daughter of the late Lorne and Annie Huebner. Predeceased by her youngest sister Ann MacKinnon. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by many nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour, her generosity of spirit and her love of fine purses and shoes.

Her family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful nurses and PSWs at Marianhill for their compassion and loving care to Joyce during her time with them.
