John Woloshen

WOLOSHEN, John Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the age of 96 years. John was a prairie boy, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 22, 1911 and raised in Neepawa, Manitoba on the farm. He travelled extensively throughout his life and settled in Petawawa in 1946. John Woloshen of 3 Alfred St., Petawawa, dearly loved husband of 61 years to Claire Woloshen (nee Matte). Dear and honoured father of Jim Woloshen (Kathy Lemenchick), Kanata. Survived by sister Kathleen (Mike) Kuz, Winnipeg, Manitoba, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by father Metro and mother Margaret (Magda) nee Rubenick, brothers and sisters-in-law Nick (Anne), Bill (Eileen), Mickey (Sally), Pete (Hazel) of Manitoba, Anthony (Roselyn) of Petawawa, Lena (Clarence) Williams and Anne (Horace) Williams of Manitoba. A Memorial Service will be held in the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home Chapel, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow at John's home.
