SCHENK, John Roland Passed away suddenly in hospital, Pembroke after a brief illness at the age of 63 years. John Schenk of 12 Barry Street, Pembroke, dearly loved husband of Elaine Schenk (nee Thur). Dear father of Andrew Schenk (Bethany Allen), Ottawa. Opie to Nicholas. Son of Heinz and Maria Schenk (nee Ihle), Kelowna, B.C. Brother of Martin Schenk (wife Christine), Port Elgin, Ontario; and Peggy Schenk (Martin Engelmann), Westbank, B.C. Also survived by nieces and nephews; and cousins in Germany. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation will be held in the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Monday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Service in the Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated).
