Joan Eleanor Teschner

TESCHNER, Joan Eleanor – with saddened hearts, but wonderful memories, we announce the passing of Joan on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, with loving family by her side, at the age of 84 years. 

Joan Teschner (nee Remus) of Petawawa, dear wife of the late Harris Teschner.  Cherished mother of Steven Teschner (Leah) and Pamela Kranz (Don).  Beloved grandma to Randa Teschner.  Born and raised in Pembroke, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude Remus (nee Mau).  Close sister of Kathryn Remus, Heather Miller (Paul), Judith Evans (John) and Laurel Remus.  Predeceased by sister Barbara Yuill.  Sister-in-law of Murray Yuill (Pat).  Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.  A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 516 Airport Rd., Petawawa on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment of ashes in the Parish Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church or The Lutheran Hour would be appreciated. 

Arrives September

Arrives September; a change in the air.

All things feel it and know life’s not fair.

We watch nature get through another cycle of life,

Knowing we all are one on this journey of strife.

It’s an awakening of memories past,

Our hearts can hold so much!

Those dear to us will live forever.

Ones left must LOVE and LAUGH and TOUCH.
