James Varvaresos

VARVARESOS, James Dimitrios Athanasios – passed away at Marianhill, Pembroke on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the age of 82 years.  James Varvaresos of Pembroke, beloved husband of the late Catherine Varvaresos (nee Yantha), with whom he was the proud owner/operator of the Golden Plate Restaurant for many years.  Dear father of Michael (Candice), Dean (Jennifer) & the late Tom (Angie) Varvaresos; and cherished grandfather of Gracelyn. Dear brother of Harry (Voula) & Nicholas (Vania); and predeceased by George (Chryssanthe), Tina (John), Irini (Simos), Maria (Peter), Eleni (Geroge), Angeliki and Panagiotis. Son of the late Athanasios George and Constantina Varvaresos (nee Livanos).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday, June 20, 2019 after 10:00 a.m.  A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 12:00 noon, with interment in Calvin United Cemetery.  (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Dementia Society of Ottawa & Renfrew County would be appreciated.)  Online condolences and donations are available atwww.mdbfuneralhome.com.
