BATTIST, James Arnold Peacefully in Belmont House, Toronto on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the age of 97 years. James Battist, long time resident of Pembroke, beloved husband of Avis Battist (nee Moore). Greatly loved father of Carole Reeve-Newson, Toronto; Elaine Psaila (husband Steve), Toronto; and Merina Benner (husband John), Ottawa. Cherished grandfather to Erin, Kevan, Marnie and Denise and great grandfather to Sam, Megan and Lauren. Son of the late Henry and Cassie Battist (nee Langille). Service in Calvin United Church, Pembroke on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment in Calvin United Cemetery. Arrangements with the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER Funeral Home, Pembroke.
