RUHNKE, Irene Jeanette Will be sadly missed by family after passing away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 28, 2009 in her 82nd year. Irene Ruhnke (nee Couture) of Pembroke, wife of the late Edwin Ruhnke and grandmother of the late Sean of Peterborough. Dear mother of Derek (wife Grace) of Peterborough; and Blair (wife Tammie) of Chalk River. Grandmother of Jennifer (partner Scott) of Mallorytown; and Eric & Lucas of Chalk River. Daughter of the late Louis and Eva Couture (nee Beauprie) of Pembroke. Survived by her sisters Rita Roberts of Whitby and Marjorie Woito of Pembroke. Predeceased by sisters Rose Haughey of Pembroke and Cora Gareau of Montreal. Irene will also be missed by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Respecting Irene's wishes there will be no visitation. Cremation. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke, on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Spring Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke.
