MACNEILL, Ida L. Passed away peacefully at Marianhill on Friday, June 29, 2007 at the age of 71 years. Ida MacNeill of Pembroke, daughter of the late William & Florence Keir, Saint John, New Brunswick. Wife of the late Evan R. MacNeill (MWO Canadian Armed Forces). Loving partner of Kenneth Johns. Mother of Andrew E. MacNeill (Christina), Churchill Falls, Labrador and N. Lynn Lafantaisie (Jim), Pembroke. Grandmother of Rory, Aaron & D'Arcy MacNeill, Labrador and Lyall & Andre Lafantaisie, Pembroke. Sister of William Keir (Betty), Bowmanville and Ruth Creamer, Toronto. Predeceased by sister Florence Ballard (Harold) and Gordon Keir (Millie) all of Saint John NewBrunswick. Survived by 19 nieces & nephews, numerous great-nieces & nephews and 1 great-great nephew. Special thanks to Michele Pierce & Elaine McMahon of Ottawa for their special attention and assistance and to my friends in Pembroke who all helped me so much. Doctors, nurses and care givers of Ottawa Civic Campus and Ottawa General Cancer Clinic. To Dr. D. Jonker and his team for the excellent care I received. To Marianhill Nursing Home Palliative Care Unit, nurses, doctors and staff for their excellent and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Ida's home, 6 Valley St., Pembroke on Wednesday 7-9:00 p.m. (In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Maurice Grimes Lodge, Ottawa would be appreciated).
