HAMILTON, Helen Irene Martha
October 31, 1919 - October 10, 2011
Slipped away gently from the ravages of Alzheimer's disease. Helen proudly served as a WREN during WWII and travelled the world. A Queen's Grad (BA. English '51) and retired art teacher (Deep River, Timmins, Toronto and Elgin) she loved to cook and to guide her nieces and nephews (Ian Dubin, Ruth Dubin, Dan and Adrienne Dubin, and Miriam Dubin). Much loved great-aunt of Helen and Jacob Baker, Rachel and Alex Dubin. Pre-deceased by her parents, Herbert and Stella Hamilton, her brother Ian Hamilton (Germany 1944) and her sister Marion Dubin in 2006.
Helen's family wishes to specially thank all the caring staff of Providence Manor for their kind and expert care over the past 17 years. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Providence Care Centre, 275 Sydenham Street, Kingston ON K7K 1G7 or to the Alzheimer's Society would be gratefully appreciated.
