Helen BIRD

BIRD, Helen Marion (nee Fix) Born November 8, 1926 - Passed away May 21, 2009 in the Pembroke Regional Hospital at the age of 82 years. Helen was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a farmer's wife who worked along side her beloved Billy for 63 years in the house or garden or at the barn. Billy predeceased her by exactly one week. She is the proud mother of Dan (Jean) Bird; Morgan (Barb) Bird; Helen (Warren) Robertson, all of Beachburg; Dorothy (Curry) Campbell of Forrester's Falls; Margaret (Dave) Burke of Sudbury; Shirley Bird (Keith Gill) of Eganville and Tim (Lise) Bird also of Sudbury. She adored her 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is the much loved sister of Marjorie, Isobel and Barbara. She was predeceased by her parents the late George and Ethel May Fix (nee Caldwell) and by her big sister Dorothy. Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31 "Till We Meet Again Mom!" By request there will be no visitation. Funeral Service to be held in the Beachburg Pentecostal Church on Monday, May 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Beachburg Union Cemetery.
