Gwendolyn Sawyer

Gwen Sawyer, of Pembroke, passed away at Caressant Care Cobden on Friday, June 19th, 2015, in her 93rd year. Wife of the late Joseph Richard Sawyer. Mother of Gertrude (Ross) Nolan of Perth and Tommie and Lloyd Sawyer of Pembroke. Predeceased by daughter Suzanne (the late John) McLaren and son Richard Sawyer. Grandmother of Shawn McLaren, Vancouver, BC; Christopher (Carrie) Nolan, Smiths Falls; Corey (Candice Bencsics) Nolan of St. Albert, Alberta. Proud, soon to be great-grandmother of a baby girl arriving in September. Daughter of the late Walter and Muriel (Hawkins) Scott. Sister of Dolores (late Victor) Gagne. Predeceased by sisters Audrey (the late Ben) Hewitt of Creemore, Joan (the late Donald) Desrosiers of Carleton Place. Dear friend and former mother-in-law of Belinda Sawyer. Gwen will be sadly missed by many close nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Visitation is at MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday, July 4th, 2015 from 11 am. - 1pm. Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 1 pm.
