Grace Craigie

Grace W. Craigie Passed away peacefully on Monday May 4, 2015 after a brief illness. Grace, a long time resident of Pembroke was a war bride born in Larkhall Scotland and was employed for a number of years on the dietary staff at the Pembroke Civic Hospital. She was an avid golfer and curler for many years as a member of both local clubs. Grace was predeceased by her husband Douglas Craigie and her daughter Leanne Craigie. She is survived by her son Ian (Jean) Craigie of Aylmer Q.C. her three grandchildren Jamie McConnell (Lynn) of Pembroke, Jennifer Biggs (Justin) of Pembroke and Elaine Craigie (Selim) of Montreal. Special Nana Grace to five great grandchildren Tyler, Madison, Samantha and Jace McConnell and Carter Biggs. Special thanks to Dr. Ellen and all the staff of A1at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their compassion and care. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 1-3:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of Grace's life in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, TOH- A1 Geriatric Assessment Unit or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
