Gladys Jessup

JESSUP, Gladys Canadian Women's Army Corps 1943 -1945 Gladys was born in Temiskaming, Quebec on October 5th, 1925 and died peacefully in hospital in Pembroke, ON on Saturday, September 5, 2015 surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth (Davis) and Robert Elliott and her sisters, Dorothy Moores (late Fred and Louis) and Alberta Elliott. Gladys was the mother of Karen Hunt (Murray), the late Linda Driscoll (Don) and Bonnie Atwood (George) and the grandmother of Kim Atwood, Patrick, Arron (Roxanne) and Shawna Driscoll and Heather (Blee Williams) and Matthew (Anne Heenan) Hunt. She was the great-grandmother of Karyn, Riley, Brody, Caelin, Madison, Bailey, Jack, Sarah and Sophie. Special thanks to Linda Cliche and Mike Hambleton for the wonderful friendship and support they provided for Mom over the years. The family also wishes to extend sincere thanks to Gladys' family physician, Dr. Hanene Ben Amor, and to the medical and nursing staff on 1B at the Pembroke Regional Hospital for their care for Mom and their support for all of us.
