GILBERT - Lois E. Revised Arrangement Dates Passed away unexpectedly at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Thursday, May 28, 2009 in her 82nd year. Lois Gilbert (nee Antler) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late George Gilbert. Dear sister of Norman Antler (late Ethel), Pembroke; Doris Joudwa (late Maurice), Belleville; Garnet Antler (Madeline), Pembroke; Melba Hawkins (late Willis), Pembroke; Myrna Pilatzke (Mel), Pembroke; Lillian Schwan (late Donald), Pembroke; and Dwyla Doran (late Warren), Pembroke. Predeceased by twin brother Lloyd, brother Harvey and sisters Rhoda Antler & Ellen Kierstead. Survived by sister-in-law Viola Antler, Pembroke. Daughter of the late Carl & Ida Antler (nee Kuehl). Survived by her many, many nieces & nephews and their families who were like Lois' children and will miss her dearly. Lois was a caring, warm-hearted woman who graciously gave of her time and love to her church, Zion Lutheran, of which she was a life-long member and served with many different organizations within. As well, she was always there with open arms and helping hands to all who knew her. Forever loved and never forgotten. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Funeral Service in Zion Lutheran Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
