Gerhard 'Gerry' Henseler

Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the age of 91 years. 

Gerry Henseler, a resident of Ottawa but called Petawawa home for several decades, beloved husband of Elaine Henseler (nee Wegner). Father of Michael Henseler (Cathy), Barrhaven; and Susan Persaud (David), Woodlawn. Grandfather of Allie Henseler; and Luke & Megan Persaud. Son of the late Herman and Lena Henseler (nee Koppe). Brother of the late Wolfgang Henseler (late Ursula). Brother-in-law of Sharon Barling (Gary). Uncle to Andre Henseler; and Christopher & Kendrick Barling. 

A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 605 Black Bay Rd., Petawawa on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery followed by fellowship in Luther Hall. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Petawawa or Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
