VERCH, Gerda - passed away peacefully at Riverview Heights on Wednesday, January 29th 2014 at the age of 90 years. Gerda Verch (nee Hoffman) wife of the late Dayton Verch. Dear mother of Kathryn McLaren (Egils), Almonte; Carolyn Turcotte, Petawawa; Dorian Verch, Pembroke; Dawson Verch, Pembroke; and Laurie Boudens (Barry), Pembroke. Grandma to Melissa Mittlestead & Heidi Turcotte; and Sarah Verch. Great-grandmother to Isabella, Dayton and Michaela. Daughter of the late Leopold and Augusta Hoffman. Survived by sister Viola Antler, and predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday, February 1 from 2-4:00 and 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Spring interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
