GILBERT, George Rufus Peacefully in hospital, Pembroke on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the age of 87 years. George Gilbert of 606 Joe St., Pembroke dearly loved husband of Lois Gilbert (nee Antler). Son of the late George and Mary Gilbert (nee Fraser). Predeceased by sisters Mary Charland (husband late Paddy), Clara May Laronde (husband late Joseph), Gertrude Weisenberg (husband late Edgar), Stella Guay (husband late Duncan), Corenna Kennedy (husband late Herb), and brothers Roy, Wilfred, & Lindsay Gilbert. Survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews. Resting at the Malcolm Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. and Sunday 10-12:00 p.m. Funeral Service in Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Spring interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke.
