Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the age of 86 years.
Garnet Junop of Pembroke, beloved husband of 63 years to Phyllis Junop (nee Saunders). Dearly loved father to David (Judith), Toronto; Douglas (Catherine), Round Lake; Eric (Dawn), Pembroke; and Philip (Claire), Newmarket. Predeceased by his infant son John. Grampy to Meghan, Alexandra, Jessica, Rebecca, & Amelia; Brooke (Oliver); Allison & Gregory. Predeceased by grandson Kirk, brothers Arnold & Gordon; sister Myrlte McVean (Archie) & nephew Roy McVean. Survived by sisters-in-law Leona Junop; Marge Cooper; Doris Wood; Mary Saunders; brother-in-law Harold Saunders & by nephews Donald Junop, Jim, Ralph & Stephen McVean, & niece Brenda Long. Son of the late Christie & Minnie Junop (nee Webber).
Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in First Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Spring Interment in First Baptist Cemetery.
