NIEMAN, Garfield Wilfred Peacefully in hospital, Pembroke on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Garfield Nieman of 1316 Blakely Cresc., Pembroke, dearly loved husband of Naomi Nieman (nee Stencell) for 60 years. Dear father of Dennis Nieman (Judy), Cobden; David Nieman (Joan), Van Kleek Hill; Anne Jonas (Ron), Petawawa; Tim Nieman (Lois), Bowden, Alberta; and Joel Nieman (Kathy), Pembroke. Predeceased by son John and infant son Gary Nieman. Grandpa to 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Henry and Emma Nieman (nee Nitschke). Brother of Ernestena Gorr, Pembroke; and George Nieman (Anita), Petawawa. Predeceased by brothers Herman, Edward, Allen and Percy Nieman. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, l4l Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. Service in St. John's Lutheran Church, Petawawa on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke.
