NIEUWENHUIS, Gaitske (Katie) Peacefully at home in Beachburg on Thursday, February 7, 2008, in her 94th year. Katie Nieuwenhuis (nee Pietersma) of RR#1 Beachburg, wife of the late Sjirk Nieuwenhuis. Mother of Bareld (Barry) Nieuwenhuis (Brenda), Beachburg. Grandmother of Jonathan, David, Luke, and Kaleb Nieuwenhuis, all of Beachburg. Sister of Bob Pietersma (Mary), Beachburg. Predeceased by brothers Wouter and Jan Pietersma. Survived by sister-in-law Fardo Pietersma. Visitation at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT, & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke, on Sunday from 2 until 4, and 7 until 9 p.m., and at St. Andrew's United Church, Beachburg on Monday from 1 until 2 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Beachburg on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. Spring interment in Beachburg Union Cemetery.
