It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Carnegie (nee Kenny) announce her passing on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Miramichi Lodge in her 91st year.
Helen Carnegie of Pembroke, wife of the late Robert Russell Carnegie (WW II Veteran). Loving mother of Joyce Klamer (Cor), Toronto; Les Carnegie (Maryanne), Waterloo; Edrie Price (Donnie), Pembroke; and Nancy Willig, Pembroke. Proud Grandmother of Jason Goldsmith (Vanda), Dwayne Price (Amy), Suzanne Osborne, Derek Price, Amber Carnegie, Mike Carnegie (Karolina), Marcie Carnegie (Chad), Christina Willig, Steven Lupson, Alana Willig, and Suzanna Willig. Great-Grandmother of 5 lovely girls: Victoria, Kyia, Jordan, Chiara, and Maya. Daughter of the late William and Flossie Kenny (nee Leach). Survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen will be remembered for love of family, nature, and art. Helen spoke often of her pride in the achievements of her many art students. Long term choir and U.C.W. member of Wesley and Greenwood United Churches. Supporter of Miramichi Lodge Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels and Valley Arts Council. Thanks for the loving care of staff at Miramichi Lodge, Paramed and Red Cross.
Visitation at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke, on Friday from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m and Saturday from 10 to noon. Funeral Service will be in Wesley United Church on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Wesley United Cemetery.
