FREDERICK WILKIN

FREDERICK G. WILKIN (WO2, Retired) Passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife and family by his side on Wednesday, February 15th, 2006 at the age of 85 years. Fred Wilkin of Pembroke and formerly of Toronto, beloved husband of Myrtle Wilkin (nee Spence). Dearly loved father to Gail Cresswell (husband David), Pembroke; Brian Wilkin (wife Miko), Australia; Stephen Wilkin (wife Judith), Kuwait; and Linda Thomas (husband Mike), Ottawa. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Fred was born in Toronto on May 31, 1921. He joined the military service in 1942 and served thirty years across Canada, Cyprus and Egypt. Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday from 1 until 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, February 17th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Spring Interment in Calvin United Cemetery.
