Francis "Frank" Tierney

TIERNEY, Francis “Frank” - Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital with family by his side, on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024 in his 90th year.
 
Francis “Frank” Joseph Tierney was born February 2, 1935 to parents James John Tierney and Veronica Elizabeth Tierney (nee Dupuis).  Beloved husband of the late Carol Sylvia Tierney (nee James).    Dearly loved father to Cathy Tierney, Ottawa; Jim Tierney (Ileana), Carp. Cherished grandfather to Candace Tierney (James), Kanata;  and Megan Tierney (Phil), Kanata. Great-grandfather to Elodie.  Lovingly raised by his father, aunt and uncle, Anne and Bill Nugent, along side his cousins the late Jim Nugent (Eleanor), Terry Nugent (Betty), the late Isabel Morris (nee Nugent), and Jack Nugent (Suzanne).  Dear brother-in-law of Rae and Edwin Mohns.  Frank will be sadly missed by nephews Michael and Curtis Mohns.  Frank will also be missed by many cousins, neighbours and friends.
 
A special thank you to the staff of Pembroke Regional Hospital and the 2nd floor staff at Riverview Heights for their care and compassion for Frank and his family.
 
Respecting Frank’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Petawawa will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
