BRUCE, Florence Lily Peacefully surrounded by her family in Pembroke Regional Hospital, on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Florence Bruce (nee Swan) of Pembroke, dearly loved wife of the late Lorne Bruce. Dear mother of Beverly Maschke (late Hilbert), Robert (Simone), and Arilyn (Margaret) all of Pembroke. Loving Granny to 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sister of Elsie Stresman (Verner), Pembroke; Ella Higgins, Toronto; Shirley Richard (Robert), Barrie; and Marilyn Gillespie (late William), Renfrew. Predeceased by sister Violet Raike (late Leslie) and brothers Eric (late Alice); Wilfred; Herb (Marianne), Pembroke; Walter (late Shirley); and Edward (late Shirley). Daughter of the late William and Louise Swan (nee Scheuneman). Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Alice on Tuesday, January 20th at 11 a.m. Spring Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
