PIETERSMA, Fardo Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 17, 2009, in her 92nd year. Fardo Pietersma (nee Veenstra), resident of Country Haven Retirement Home, Beachburg, wife of the late Wouter (Walter) Pietersma. Loving mother of Sandra Jeffrey (Herb), Beachburg; Geppie Wassing (Harko), Beachburg; and Bonne Pietersma (Pat), Round Lake. Predeceased by son Ebele Pietersma (Donna), Alberta. Special Mom of John & Gwen Douna & Family, Waterloo. Wonderful Beppe (Grandmother) to Debbie, Brenda, Patricia, Kenny, Walter, Valerie, Christine, Joanna, Todd, Philip, Derek, Kathy, Kevin, and Kelley; as well as 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Katie Hanje (John), Waterloo; and Hendrik (Trijn), Hill (late Harm), & Baya (late Jan), all of Holland. Sister-in-law of Bob Pietersma (Mary), Beachburg. Predeceased by brothers Cor & Ebele, sisters Geeske & Kinge, sister-in-law Katie Nieuwenhuis (late Sjirk), and 3 brothers-in-law. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke, on Monday from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Resting at Zion Christian Reformed Church, 152 Drive-in Rd., Pembroke, on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Spring Interment in Beachburg Union Cemetery.
