Evelyn Wahl

WAHL, Evelyn Mary (Schroeder/Stricker) Evelyn passed away peacefully in her sleep, September 12, 2013. Born in Maryborough Township, April 3, 1920 and raised by Fred and Annie Stricker (Schroeder), predeceased by her sisters and brother, survived by many nieces and nephews. Beloved wife of the late Warren (Bud) Wahl and loving Mother of Nan (Kirk) Morphy, Shelley (Bill) Niekraszewicz and Carol (Fabian) Poulin. Cherished Nana of Brynn (Mark McMahon), Jenna (Andrew McCalla), and Hallie; Taylor and Alexander; and Hannah and Sarah. Great Nana to Mason, Kenzie and Connor. Mom was lots of fun and a very special lady. She worked at the Assessment Office in Pembroke for a number of years and was a volunteer at the Pembroke Hospital Tuck Shop after her retirement. She was an avid accomplished knitter and her creations live on with her family. She will be missed by family and many friends. Many thanks to the staff at Stillwater Creek Retirement Community, especially Mandy, Cherie, Amanda, Marie and Teresa. In lieu of flowers donations in Mom's memory to a charity of your choice. A celebration of Ev's life will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 5:00 pm in the chapel at Malcolm Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home , 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke,followed by a reception.
