FREEMAN, Evelyn Mary (Co-founder of the Thyroid Foundation of Canada) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Miramichi Lodge on Monday, October 18, 2010 in her 83rd year. Evelyn Freeman (nee Brumm) of Petawawa (formerly of Kingston), beloved wife of the late Lennard (Len) Freeman. Dear mother to Glenn Freeman (wife Frances), Hamilton; and Gayle Tod (husband John), Ottawa. Dear grandmother to Victoria Yatco (husband Jerry); Karen Randall (Gurnsey) (Joshua Blancher); Andrew Bebee (wife Christina). Great-grandmother to William, Charlotte & Caroline Gurnsey; Lillie & Alyssa Yatco and L.J. (Lu) Bebee. Step-grandmother to Yvonne and step-great-grandmother to Jamie. Daughter of the late Henry and Lillie Brumm (nee Christinck). Predeceased by brother Walter Brumm (wife Frances), Kingston; and sisters; Freda Ewing; Gertrude Backer; Pearl O'Brien; Inez Lassman; and Agnes Adam. Sister-in-law to Robert Adam and Mary Freeman, Survived by many nieces & nephews. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Service in St. John's Lutheran Church, Petawawa on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
