ASHICK, Eric Percy (Reeve of Alice & Fraser Township for 14 years, Councillor for 9 years and Warden of Renfrew County in 1989) - passed away peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke on Thursday, January 16, 2014 in his 95th year. Eric Ashick of Pembroke, beloved husband of 71 years to Lydia Ashick (nee Schultz). Dear father of Dennis, Pembroke; Dale (Lorraine), Garson; and Martin (Darlene), Pembroke. Grandfather to Bryan, Ken, Brad & Janice (Terry Morrison); and Darren (Adele) & Melanie. Great-grandfather to Gabe & Cohen; Zak & Ethan; and Aden, Rosabella, Kannon & Lukas. Son of the late Raymond & Emma Ashick (nee Grife). Brother of Wesley (Louella), Sudbury; Clarence (Ellen, late Eva), Pembroke; Lila Martinat (Herb), Pembroke; and Marilyn Schultz (Clifford), Welland. Predeceased by brothers Ernie (late Hilda), Ray (late Esther), Weldon (late Mary) and Garnet. Brother-in-law to Marion Ashick and Elne Hammel (late Adelheid). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday from 7 to 9:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 2 to 4:00 & 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in Grace Lutheran Church, Rankin on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Spring Interment in the parish cemetery.
