FOX, Emma Louise - passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in her 100th year of life in the peaceful and comforting surroundings of Supples Landing, Pembroke, overlooking her favorite view of the Ottawa River.
Emma Fox (nee Meitz), proud and loving Mom of Chris Stresman (Connie), Barb McGinnis (Gerry) & Dr. Tom Biesenthal (Erika). Forever loved Grandma of Amy and Jason, Michelle and Meghan, Geoff and Julie, Jeremy and Kerry, Christal and Justin, Emma and Philip, Mattias, Lukas & Jesper. Great-grandma to Kira, Evan and Morgan, Gabriele and Lila, Vela, Dylan and Penelope, Hayden and Anna, Maddy, Cameron and Bridget, Will and Wyatt. Cherished Mom-in-law to Lynn Romhild (Clarence), Wendy Biesenthal and Emerson Stewart. Dear Step-Mom to Betty-Jean, Sharen, Jim and John Fox. Emma is predeceased by husband Walter Biesenthal, their daughters Karen & Susan and their sons Bob & John, and by second marriage to Bill Fox and his children Katherine, Brenda & Michael Fox.
Emma was born on the family farm in Alice and Fraser Township, the fourth of twelve children to Albert and Wilhelmina Meitz (nee Witt). She leaves to mourn her dear brother Walter (late Toni) of Bancroft.
She was the heart of her family, strong faith gave her courage and strength, an inspiration to us all. We are forever grateful and blessed by her longevity, her quick wit and her great sense of humour.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Emma’s life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Locksley on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church after 10:15 a.m. Interment in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the parish hall.
