MAAHS, Emgard Marie Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Emgard Maahs (nee Schroeder) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Ted Maahs. Dear mother of Randy Maahs (Julia), Ottawa; and Brenda Roach (Dennis), Pembroke. Granny to Jeffrey (Zoe), Lindsay (Maurice) & Stephen (Katie) Maahs; and Darren (Kim) & Jonathan (Tammy) Roach. Great-Granny to Isaiah Maahs; Kayla & Amy Roach; and Skylar, Taden & Delsin Solly. Daughter of the late Frank and Dorothea Schroeder (nee Marquardt). Sister of Margaret Zadow (late Raymond), Eganville. Predeceased by brothers Ernest, Gustave, Walter, Arthur, Leonard, Rudolph & Wilfred Schroeder; and sisters Gertrude Risto, Phyllis Zadow & Edna Schultz. Survived by sisters-in-law Beatrice, Annetta & Edna Schroeder; and brother-in-law Desmond Zadow (Ruth). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be in St. John's Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Spring Interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. John's Lutheran Church, or the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 72 Poppy Fund would be appreciated.)
