SIDOR, Elsie – Passed away peacefully yet unexpectedly the morning of Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 at Heritage Manor Pembroke at the age of 84 years. Elsie Sidor (nee Bogstad) loving mother to Andrew ‘Andy’ (Laura) Sidor , twins Randi (Dave) Stahn & John Sidor and David ‘Dave’(Camille) Sidor. Cherished Nana to four granddaughters, seven grandsons and one great-grandson. Elsie is the second child of the late Olaf Bogstad and Randi Bogstad (nee Tonning). Her parents immigrated from Norway and settled in Eastern Canada. Elsie was born in Dalhousie, New Brunswick on June 18, 1935 and passed away at the age of 84 years. Caring sister to late Finn (Janet ‘Jan’) & Sonja (late Pete Wood) and ex-sister-in-law Patricia. Much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by cousins, especially those far away in Norway. She’s an adored member of a large extended family. Formerly a resident of New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, Elsie had spent the last 12 years pursuing her passions in Ontario. Wherever a garden was available, she was in it, tending to it! She also tended to her close circle of family, friends and related family pets. Elsie wasn’t timid about sharing insightful advice and giving wholehearted support to those she cared for. To the staff and residents at Pembroke Heritage Manor and Elsie's Personal Support Workers, thank you for your kindness and support and enabling Elsie to follow her passions in a caring community. Respecting Elsie's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Elsie would appreciate if those who cared for her take a bit of time to in some way honour her memory.
