HAMMEL, Elne Edward - passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge, surrounded by his family on his 93rd birthday, January 5, 2015. Elne Hammel of Pembroke, husband of the late Adelheid "Adele" Hammel (nee Schultz). Dear father of Christine (Verch) Booth (Victor) and Paul Hammel (Judy). Predeceased by son David Hammel. Cherished Grandfather of Melissa Boldt (Devon), Ashley Verch (Glynn McNary), Kyle & Joshua Verch; and Brittanie, Cody & Jennifer Hammel. Great-grandfather of Griffin & Hailey Boldt. Brother of Ineta McDonald (Ed), Hamilton; and predeceased by brothers Edmund (late Marie) & Ernie (Katie, late Lyla). Son of the late Herman and Ida Hammel (nee Scheuneman). Brother-in-law to Lydia Ashick (late Eric) and the late Oscar Schultz. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in Zion Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Rankin.
