RECOSKIE, Elmer Vincent Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at the age of 74 years. Elmer Recoskie of Petawawa, beloved and cherished husband of Evelyn Recoskie (nee Heinze). Loving father to Cherylann Mielke (Brian Goldberg), Petawawa; Catherine Nieman (Kevin), Petawawa; Heather Pretulac (Dwight), Florida; Arlene Recoskie, Hawksbury; Janet Hagar (Mark), Arizona; Carolin Nagle (Byron), Pembroke and Cindy Yemen (Danny), Petawawa. Cherished grandfather of Janice Mielke (Dan Taylor); Andrew Mielke (Amanda Mirault); Gregory Duhamel (Megan); Stephanie Duhamel; Natalie Duhamel (Pete Jack); Amanda Pretulac; Daniel Okum (Julia); Alyssa; Kiana; & Jessica Yemen. Step-grandfather of Gavan, Derek, Amie, Mitchell and Kurtis Cybulski. Great-grandfather of Tia & Cody Mielke; Chase Mielke-Mirault; Emily Taylor; Jayden Okum and Hanna Jack. Loving brother of Vivian Cybulski (late Paul), Round Lake Center and sister-in-law Dorinda Eckert (Roger), Wisconsin. Survived by his aunt Frances Fabian, Bonnechere and his many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his loving parents Vincent & Irene Recoskie (nee Fabian), his sister Theresa Cybulski, infant siblings Christian, Evelyn & Kathleen Recoskie, and sons-in-law Roger Duhamel and Kenneth Mielke. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m - 12 noon. Service in St. John's Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
