OKUM, Elmer R. (Retired from 2nd Guards, Picton and 3rd RCR, Petawawa) - passed away suddenly with family by his side at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Friday, October 21, 2016 in his 79th year. Elmer Okum of Petawawa, beloved husband of Sandra Okum (nee Pope). Loved father of Penny Doiron, Petawawa; Julie Rilliet (Don), Petawawa and Donald Okum, Angus. Cherished Papa of Andrew Doiron & Amber Doucette; Kassandra Rilliet; and Marissa Okum. Great-grandfather of Lilly. Son of the late Charles & Minnie Okum (nee Buder). Predeceased siblings Hazel Fabian, Harold Okum, Jack Okum and Mary Raun. Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 7-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Bowerman McFaul Cemetery, Prince Edward County on Monday at 4:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated.
