Hammel, Ella Hilda - peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in her 93rd year. Ella Hammel (nee Schultz) of Pembroke, wife of the late Leonard Hammel. Dear mother of Gale Sparling (George); Debbie Eustace (Rick); and Karl Hammel (Karen), all of Pembroke. Grandmother of Pamela Sparling & Tamara Somerset (J.P.); Rachel (Chad), Daniel (Lauren) & Rebecca Eustace; and Kyle & Amber Hammel. Daughter of the late Henry & Martha Schultz (nee Lubitz). Step-daughter of the late William Rucks. Predeceased by brothers Eckhart, Wilfred & Lorne Schultz and sister Mamie Stencell (late Verner). Ella is survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation is at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, February 6 from 2-4 & 7-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Spring interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
