REID, Elizabeth (Betty) Peacefully in hospital, Pembroke on Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 in her 95th year. Elizabeth (Betty) Reid (nee Deardorff), formerly of 201 Joseph Street (Supples Landing), Pembroke, dearly loved wife of the late Kenneth Reid and loving mother of Norman Reid (Patti), Ottawa; John Reid (Susanne), Brantford; Michael Reid (Jill), Braeside; and Judy Purdy (Chris), Pembroke. Predeceased by son Thomas Reid. Cherished grandmother to Lauren Sachs, Thomas (Tim) Reid, and Bronwyn Grams; Kevin Reid, Michael Reid, Erin Mulligan, and Christopher Reid; Douglas, Megan and Michelle Reid; Jenny, Brian and Greg Reid; Jacquelyn, Stephen and Colin Purdy; and 9 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Guy and Leonette Deardorff (nee Grove). Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, l4l Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will follow in the Chapel on Saturday at 3 p.m. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated).
