HAYES, Elizabeth (Bessie) Peacefully in the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the age of 94 years. Bessie Hayes (nee Angus) of 204 McAllister St., Pembroke, wife of the late Cecil Hayes. Dearly loved mother of Helen Hayes (husband Mike Petit), Hull; and Joyce Phillips (husband Paul), Gananoque. Granny to Cathy Godin (husband Peter), Richmond; Rob Rantz, Pembroke; Robin Cushnie (husband Gabriel Dale-Hill), Halifax; and Alison Cushnie, Ottawa. Great-grandmother of Darcie and Riley Godin. Daughter of the late Ronald and Mary Bell Angus (nee McLaren). Predeceased by sisters Marian McLaren (husband late Mac), and Adabel Robertson; and brothers George Angus (wife Nellie), Cobden; Bertwin Angus (wife late Carrie), and Duncan (Mac) Angus. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday from 7-9:00 p.m. Service in First Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment in Cobden Union Cemetery.
