Heffernan, Elisabeth (nee Volmer) Passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, September 25, 2015 in the Pembroke Regional Hospital at the age of 74 (or 47 depending on the day). Loving wife of the late Gerry Heffernan. Dear mother of Diane (Henry), Petawawa; and Ron (Evelyn), Medicine Hat, AB. Proud Granny of Makayla. Survived by siblings Annemie, Annette and Franz. She will be missed by her extended family and her friends, both in Canada and Germany. Respecting Elisabeth's wishes, her remains have been bequeathed to the University of Ottawa School of Anatomy. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday, October 3 at 2 p.m. (In lieu of flowers, donations to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Dialysis Unit would be appreciated.)
