At Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke on Thursday, May 21, 2015, William "Earl" Beattie went Home to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the age of 81 years. Son of the late William Grant Beattie (1995) and his wife Elsie Jane Tubman (1968) of Bristol QC. Predeceased by granddaughter Christina Ruth Speer, age 8 years (1995). Loved husband of 61 years (June 26) to Orma "Marlene" Doig. Loving dad of six children: Brian and his wife Jo-Anne (Lowe) of Kanata and their children Joshua and his wife Johanne (Abrams), Aaron and his wife Toni (Van Eeden) & Rebecca and her fiancé Cameron Sutcliffe-Jones; Susan Winfield and her husband Greg of Stirling and their children Scott and his wife Nancy (Trembley), Laurie Kretzul and her husband Taylor & Brad (Loretta Bell); Donna Beattie (Cliff) of Oliver BC and her daughter Melissa (Speer) Palmer and her husband Fraser; David and his wife Marilyn (Wonders) of Shamoiken Dam, Pennsylvania USA and his children Sean & Victoria; Judy Beattie of Orleans and her children Mathieu & Michelle Coderre; and Laurence (Janie) of Richmond; as well as three great-grandchildren: Brooklyn & Anderson Winfield; and Logan Palmer. Dear brother of Grace Woods (late Kenneth), Charteris QC; George (Anna), Elliott Lake; Rosetta (Bruce), Nepean; Ruby Boire (Bill), Chapeau QC; Evelyn McLaughlin, Renfrew; Roy (Betty), Bristol QC; & Chesley (Marlene), Vernon BC. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Pembroke Pentecostal Tabernacle, corner of Hwy 17 & 41 from 9 to 11:00 a.m. A service of celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m., officiated by former pastor Rev. John Shepherd. A luncheon will follow the service in the church gym. Interment will take place at Shawville Pentecostal Cemetery.
