OKUM, Dorothy Clara (nee Hammel) Passed away in the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in her 82nd year. Dorothy Okum of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Darcy Okum. Loving mother to Larry Okum (Irene); Marcella Proulx (Rickey); and Debbie Okum (Kim). Survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Reubena (late John Stencell); Joy (Victor Perry); Marilyn (Greg Bedard); Victor Hammel (Carolyn); and Frederick Hammel. Predeceased by Melvin Hammel (Martha); Marvin Hammel; Beverly (Elroy Demers) and Verna Hammel. Daughter of the late Frederick & Agnes Hammel (nee Goldberg). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Laurentian View Cemetery.
