WHELAN, Doris Isabel In the Palliative Care Unit of Marianhill, Pembroke on Thursday, September 25th, 2008 at the age 66 years. Doris Whelan (nee Scheuneman) of 388 Chamberlain Street, Pembroke, dearly loved wife of Brian Whelan. Dear mother of James Whelan (wife Ellen), Oakville; Laura Whelan, Pembroke; Andrew Whelan, St. Catharines; and Susan Whelan, Ottawa. Nana to Bradley and Angela. Daughter of the late Reinholdt and Hattie Scheuneman (nee Melcher). Sister of Vera Krueger (husband W. James), Lorne Scheuneman (wife Dorothy), and Nelda MacCosham (husband late Don), all of Pembroke. Predeceased by infant brother Gordon. Special thanks for the help and comfort provided by Dr. Rosemarie Gilbert, Dr. John Davies and the 3rd floor medical staff at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, the Palliative Care Unit of Marianhill and CCAC. Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Columba's Cemetery, Pembroke.
