Doreen Gray

GRAY, Doreen Mary Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Marianhill in her 94th year. Loving mother of Stuart Gray (Loretta), Trish Turquay-Smith (Bill Smith), Jennifer Fiegen (Steve) & John Gray (Sandy). Predeceased by her daughter Heather Ann Gray. Proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Doreen was born November 29th, 1921 in Old Scriven, England. Emigrating with her husband in 1947, Doreen travelled all over Canada. While living in North Bay she worked side by side in the day to day operation of Voyageur Airlines which they founded. Doreen eventually moved to Abbotsford, British Columbia to be closer to her son Stuart, later moving with him to the Eganville area where she was one of the first residents of Fairfield Manor. Due to failing health Doreen later moved to Marianhill in Pembroke. Doreen had an interesting and fulfilling life. The family would like to thank the staff at Fairfield Manor and Marianhill for their exceptional care of Doreen. A memorial service will be held in late Spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home.
