HOPKINS, Donald Leonard (Len) (Member of Parliament Renfrew-Nippissing-Pembroke 1965-1997) Passed away peacefully in hospital, Ottawa with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Len Hopkins of Petawawa, dearly loved husband and very best friend of Lois Hopkins (nee Gust). Cherished father of Sherri Lynne Hopkins (husband David Stoddart), Brampton; and Doug Hopkins (Joanne Anas), Ottawa. Predeceased by infant son Scott. Papa to Craig & Steven. Son of the late John & Victoria Hopkins (nee Brown). Brother of Helen Graham (husband late Gordon), Woodville, ON. Predeceased by brother Robbie Hopkins (wife Alma), Argyle, ON. Brother-in-law to Elva & Oscar Scheuneman, Ottawa; and Marilyn Kinloch, Pembroke. Predeceased by Gerald & Gloria Gust. Uncle Len will be missed by his many nieces & nephews. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday from 7-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 2-4:00 & 7-9:00 p.m. The Funeral of Len Hopkins will be held in the Pembroke Pentecostal Tabernacle under the pastoral care of the First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend Daniel Forget officiating. A private family interment will be held in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Petawawa.
