Donald Charles Benjamin

BENJAMIN, Donald Charles – went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Pembroke Regional Hospital at the age of 82 years.

Don Benjamin, cherished husband of Jean Benjamin (nee Davis).  Loving father of the late Terry; Paul (Carol), Renfrew; David (Tracy), Petawawa; and Shawn (Michelle), Peterborough.  Grandpa Benny to Jodie & Alisha; Wade, Lize & the late Beau; David, Cale, Haley & Kaleb; and Gabriel, Lilli and Emma.  Great-grandfather of Sadie & Naomi and Nevin, Myah, Connor & Zackary.  Son of the late Donald and Annie Benjamin (nee Gammon).  Survived by brother Glen.  Predeceased by siblings Jean, Isabell, Phyllis and Gerald.  Survived by many nieces and nephews.  Don proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1956 – 1983 serving in 2nd RCR, London ON and as Master Corporal (MCpl) with RCEME, London, Winnipeg, Germany and Petawawa.  

Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held at Pine Ridge Family Church, 27 Brumm Rd, Pembroke on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.  Interment in Emmanuel Cemetery, Killaloe at 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Pine Ridge Family Church would be appreciated.
