McGONEGAL, W. I. Desmond Desmond McGonegal, formerly of RR #2 Pembroke, passed away on Saturday, July 20th, 2013 in his 93rd year. Dearly loved husband of Edna McGonegal (nee Gallant), the late Helen Jackson and the late Bernice Johnson. Dear father of John (Tammie) of Petawawa, David (Colleen and the late Peggy) of Pembroke, Willa (Dave and the late Jim) Duke of Sterling; stepfather of Patsy (Wally) Hoffman of Pembroke, the late Jean (John) Romain of Kitchener, Norma (Weldon) Rantz of Pembroke, Connie (Scott) Johnson of Rankin and the late Robert Gallant. Grandpa to many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents William and Pearl McGonegal, grandson Shawn Duke and step granddaughter Lisa Hoffman. Brother of the Merril (Jean) McGonegal of Pembroke. Predeceased by his siblings Pansy (the late Archie) Robertson , Darwin (June), Noble (Barb) and Eileen (the late Carl) Fletcher. Friends may call at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday July 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm and on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service at 11am in the Chapel.
