Delta Lorraine Neville

NEVILLE, Delta Lorraine - called home by her heavenly father to her eternal resting place, on Sunday, July 30, 2023, in her 93rd year.

Delta Neville (nee Saar) of Pembroke, beloved wife of 54 years to the late Charles Albert Neville (2005). Lovingly remembered by her three children, Lori Neville, California; Peter Neville (Brenda), Ottawa & Jill Lemenchick (Kevin), Ottawa. Cherished Nanny to Carly & Zachary Folcik and Katie, Julia & Ally Lemenchick, whom Delta adored with all her heart. Daughter of the late Alfred R. Saar & Esther S. Saar (nee Biederman). Predeceased by sister Sylvia Sampson (late Charles) and brother Earl Saar (late Shirley). She will be missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends whom she cherished.

Delta moved to Ottawa in 1947 for work, met and married Charlie, built a home and raised their family. Upon retiring from Riverside Pharmacy as a pharmacy assistant / manager for 25 years, they moved back to Pembroke where Delta continued a very active life in her church and community. Deteriorating health brought her back to Ottawa in 2019, closer to her children. A special thank you to all the wonderful caring staff at the Valley Stream Retirement Residence in Ottawa for their compassionate support for Delta these past four years.

Mom, your warmth and love gave us comfort, we will truly miss you and know your smiling down upon us.

A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Locksley, 423 Witt Rd. Pembroke, on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Grace Lutheran Church, Locksley appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
