Delsworth Godfry Harnish

HARNISH, Delsworth- passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the age of 91 years. 

Delsworth Godfry Harnish of Petawawa, Beloved husband of Charlotte (nee Crooks) of 71 years. Dear father of the late Dr. Delsworth (Liz), Ancaster; David (Cheryl), Sault-St. Marie; James (Michelle), California; Nancy, Petawawa; Raymond (Lynda) Pembroke; Heather (Dean), Petawawa; Charlotte Anne, Petawawa & Diane (John), Pembroke. Cherished grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Edmund Munro & Helena Harnish and siblings Joyce (John), John, Douglas (Carol), Georda (Chip), and Sylvia (Cecil). 

Last of his family, he served in the military and civil services for 40 years. Retired 32 glorious years. Served in Korea, Vietnam, Egypt, Kingston, Edmonton, Wainwright and Petawawa. Travelled with trailer in the summer, Florida in the winter. Trailer at Mackey for 25 years. The most loving, caring father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. Loved life and loved to travel with trailer. Enjoyed fishing, and campfires. He was loved and respected by all. Del enjoyed wood working, maintaining his property and boating. 

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
