David Whittington

WHITTINGTON, DAVID – passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the age of 78 years.

David Winston Whittington of Pembroke, beloved husband of the late Donna Whittington (nee Afelskie) and by previous marriage Gladys Henry. Dear father of Clifford Whittington, Alice; Dean Whittington (Janice Verch), Braeside; Tracy Whittington (Jason Burgess), Pembroke; Jason Whittington (Kim Warriner-Whittington), Kamloops, B.C; Christina Butler (Christopher Butler), Pembroke & Amanda Schunk (Benjamin Schunk), Pembroke. Cherished grandfather of Bradley, Eric, Benjamin, Coleton, Bryce, Devon, Nicholas, Carver and Gabriel. Great-grandfather of Nevaeh. Predeceased by parents Albert & Minnie Whittington (nee Wood) and by siblings Margaret Whittington, Tommy Whittington, Clifford Wood & Ted Wood. Survived by sister Joyce Wood and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Pembroke Pentecostal Cemetery.
